Community directories describe it as the Rockingham area's oldest yacht club, and its three-level clubhouse — boatshed at the lower level, bar and clubroom above, a lookout tower scanning Warnbro Sound from the top — is entered on the WA State Heritage Office inHerit database and the City's 2025 Local Heritage Survey. In its postwar prime, the heritage record says, the club hosted regattas and State Titles that put more than 120 boats onto the water at once. Today the picture is harder to read. The club's former website domain is parked, no active social-media presence surfaced during research, and its current sailing activity remains unverified — yet Australian Sailing's affiliation fee schedule still carries Safety Bay as a WA affiliated club (category B), and the City's recent archival work treats the site as a continuing sports and community venue.
